I have to imagine that printing out charts and graphs is more expensive than getting some intern to photoshop of whatever you need, but then…how could you point at it with a finger on a stick? I bet they separate all of those charts into papers and burnables for recycling, way to promote waste management Japanese news stations!

Yeah that’s always irked me a little, too. When they have little sticky pieces of paper covering up the boring conversation topics that they need a model to peel away, I lose it. When they have little printed things on foam-core that will only be used once ever, it makes me want to cry. For a country based on efficiency, practicality seems to have been lost in the mix.
