I never try to be a jerk deliberately of course, but I have a tendency to screw things up by over analyzing situations and acting strange, or throwing out jokes that fall flat just over lines that shouldn’t be crossed. I’ve sort of turned it into a game of guessing how long it’ll take me to ruin things when I meet new people. I’m still predicting divorce by 2012.
It’s part of being American! They need to understand our culture thrives on jerkiness =3
