99 Problems

As some of you noticed, Monday was not the 7th…I think I was looking at last year’s calendar and effed that up.

Having a few problems since we’ve got back from the States. First I was going to buy a nice warm winter coat in Tokyo for 30% off, but by the time I convinced my wife that it was worth the money, the store had closed 10 minutes before we got back to it. Next I found that I had lost my cell phone somewhere so I couldn’t get back in touch with people for work. Then today I went to teach a lesson to find no one home, and with no phone to gather more info, I just had to leave so I’m out $50 on that one >.>; Not to mention it was snowing and I could have had a snuggly new coat.

Having some problems with Wordpress also, the media insertion thingy is all jacked up and I can’t upload files without having to go to internet explorer to upload the file, get an error, then come back into Firefox to insert the “errored” picture file into the post. So I need to work on that as well, hopefully a quick WP upgrade will fix that, but I fear 2.7 will kill a couple of plugins that make the comic side of this thing work easier. Oh swells, 99 problems.

I might start rolling the comics out tomorrow, I need to get back into the swing of things, but I’ve pre-emptively updated to the 12th which would have been the correct date if I had looked at a proper calendar…

Planning to start a short storyline tomorrow if all goes right, if not then Monday I’ll start with the next installment of Japanese Pirates.

ack… that’s pretty anoying. Hope these minor problems don’t keep up x.x!

    • Working on them slowly but surely, I just updated wordpress and it seems to have solved my image uploading issues which is quite nice, now all I need to do it rewrite all of my configurations to a theme that supports the features of this whole mess. I’ve been putting off site updates partially because I’m lazy and partially because I’ve forgotten most of the html/css code thingamawhats that I used to build the site in the first place. I really need to focus this year and get things rolling again, but it’s difficult to expend the extra effort for such a small site that I have. Typical visit count is pretty low, and it dropped 44% with a resounding thud when I took that couple of weeks off for the holidays. It feels like I’m at this crossroad of either quit or go nuts with effort, and man…I’m SO lazy.

ah, well I hope you don’t quit, but I could understand why you might be discouraged… there’s an old expresion I’m reminded of at times like these, “Quiters never win, and winners die early of heart attacks”

  3. I don’t think you’ll see me throw in the towel just yet. Every time I think to, I always have ‘one more’ thing I need to draw before I end it.

I was wanting to do the Pirate Week strips that I was working on this week, and I have another stupid set of 5 comics that are similar in flavor, but I have to tell another ‘Life’ story so that I’m not wall to walling goofy unrelated characters, and, by the time I’m done with all that, I have to draw the next Yaju related storyline since I already took the time to write it… my to do list seems to grow every day.

I’ll keep trudging as long as there are a few people around for encouragement, many thanks to you and to everyone else who’s reading :D
