The other day I was visited at out apartment by some Christian missionary type folks spreading the word of Jesus in this land of Buddhists and Shinto practicing heathens. I never open the door for anyone who’s not carrying a box these days, but I was left a flier that we have yet to decipher. What I can only assume from the date and the Jesus, is that they’re encouraging the Japanese to celebrate Easter, not a huge stretch considering they like their cake and presents for Christmas but hell, after V-Day and W-Day, Easter would be overkill. Chocolate hearts, flowers, and eggs all inside of two months? Too much.

If anyone wants to translate that for me I’d appreciate it, I know it says something about Jesus and big love. I’m really only curious to see if it’s the same kind of Christian message you get in the States, or if they tailor them to the culture they’re soliciting. Side note, any thoughts on why Japan Jesus looks strikingly similar to Leonidas from 300?
